The Iaunch of Los Amigos ERC has been a busy and exciting time for all involved. We have been fortunate in so many areas and some deserve special mention.

Our employees, upon whose skill the fate of our program is entrusted, have risen to the challenge of our new startup. They have performed beyond the call of duty, with their assignments taking them away from their families for several days at a time. They have continued to develop their skills and have presented themselves and Los Amigos to our clients in ways we are all proud of.

The primary source of funds for our important programs has come from the State of New Mexico and the US Department of Energy through the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority. We thank them for their support of our important program.

The management of Los Amigos is in large part taken by a diverse group of volunteers. These folks from your president to each board member are motivated by the good they can see coming to the less fortunate of our community. It is heartwarming to see the gratitude on the faces of a single mother, an elderly person or a person with a disability, all of whom know that they will be able to have a more comfortable home as a result of the Los Amigos work on their behalf.

Finally, I would like to extend a special thank you to our Executive Director, Anthony Roybal, whose leadership has made our initial months of operation a great success.
